Description: Argan oil, derived from the kernels of the argan tree, which grows almost exclusively in Morocco, is special for skincare and haircare due to its unique composition and potential properties. Here are some aspects that make it stand out:
For Skincare
- Moisturisation: Argan oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids and nutrients that may help moisturise and nourish the skin.
- Non-greasy: Despite being an oil, argan oil is lightweight and non-greasy, making it suitable for various skin types.
- Skin softening: Regular use of argan oil may help soften and smoothen the skin, reducing dryness and promoting a supple complexion.
For Haircare
- Hair conditioning: Argan oil is known for its excellent conditioning properties, making the hair soft, shiny, and manageable.
- Nourishment: It may provide essential nutrients to the hair, promoting overall hair health.
- Frizz control: Argan oil can help tame frizzy hair and reduce flyaways, giving the hair a smoother appearance.
- Split ends: Regular use of argan oil may help improve the appearance of split ends and prevent further damage.
While argan oil has these potential qualities, individual results may vary. As with any new skincare or haircare product, it's best to perform a patch test and consult with a haircare or skincare professional if you have specific concerns or known sensitivities.
Allergen note: Argan is a nut so be cautious if you have nut allergies.
Notes from our Moroccan supplier:
Our argan oil comes from a village in the Atlas mountains. The company is involved in rural development and the protection of the argan tree. All parts of the argan nut are used, the pulp for animal feed and the shell for firewood. This means the argan trees need not be cut for firewood.
The company is involved in may community projects in the village: street lighting; garbage collection; school canteen; planting olive trees.
Packaging - See our blog on our commitment to sustainable packaging.
Our carrier oils come in amber glass bottles with 28mm neck in volumes:
30ml, 50ml, 100ml, *250ml.
Larger volumes must be packaged in plastic as glass becomes too dangerous to ship.
500ml: Amber PET plastic bottle with 28mm neck.
1L and 5L: PET white plastic jerrycans.
*on occasion, i.e. when ordered alone, 250ml may be packaged in PET amber plastic to save on shipping costs.
All our products are for external use only. FIND OUT MORE.
