Description: Fragonia essential oil is a relatively new essential oil. It is a lignotuberous shrub reaching a height of approximately 2.5m. It has erect flowering branches with thick, rigid leaves and small clusters of five white petalled flowers with a pale pink centre. Flowering occurs typically between January and May.
Aromatic scent: Fragonia essential oil has a fresh cineolic perfume with a hint of citrus mixed with slight spicy/balsamic undertones.
Common uses
Aromatherapy: Fragonia essential oil has a pleasant, fresh, and slightly floral aroma. Aromatherapy using fragonia oil can help create a soothing and uplifting atmosphere, promoting relaxation and a positive mood.
Air freshener: Fragonia oil can be diffused to freshen indoor air and eliminate unpleasant odours. Its aroma can help create a clean and inviting environment.
Cleaning products: Fragonia oil is a great potential ingredient for creating natural and eco-friendly cleaning products. It can help disinfect surfaces and contribute to a fresh scent in your living space.
Sensory experience: The aroma of fragonia oil can contribute to a sensory experience that promotes relaxation and well-being. This can be especially useful in spa settings, meditation spaces, or during yoga sessions.
Insect repellent: While not as well-known for this purpose as some other essential oils, fragonia oil's scent may have insect-repellent properties, making it a potential addition to natural insect repellent formulations.
