Properties: amenorrhea, antispasmodic, bactericidal, digestive, emmenagogue, galactagogue, hypotensive, stimulant.
Benefits: colic, dyspepsia, flatulence, indigestion, lack of a menstrual cycle, and promotes milk flow in nursing mothers.
Blends well with: caraway, elemi, mints, nutmeg, spice and citrus oils.
Dill seed oil is almost identical to caraway oil.
Safety data: non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitising. Its use while pregnant is not recommended.
