Rose concrete

100% pure
Please note this rose concrete is a soft wax.

Botanical name: Rosa damascena

Plant part used: petals

Method of extraction: see below

Appearance: orange, soft, waxy

Country of origin: Bulgaria

Uses: psychotherapeutic, antidepressant, soothing

Rose concrete is a soft wax and contains all the rose absolute and plant waxes. It can be applied direct to pulse points as a solid perfume or added in tiny amounts to creams (during the oil phase) and balms. Rose concrete can also be added to warm carrier oils.

Bulgarian rose concrete is obtained by cold extraction of fresh rose blossoms from the Bugarian rose (Rosa damascena).
The rose flowers are agitated in a vat with an organic solvent, such as hexane, which draws out the aromatic compounds, wax and pigments. The extract is then vacuum processed to remove the solvent. The remaining waxy mass is rose concrete.

About 350kg of rose blossoms are needed to produce 1kg of rose concrete.

Bulgarian rose concrete is considered the highest quality in the world. It has multiple uses in perfumery and cosmetics and is one of the most popular solid perfumes worldwide.
