Wintergreen essential oil, certified organic

Wintergreen is a low-growing evergreen herb, typically reaching around 15cm in height. It has slender stems, leathery serrated leaves, small drooping white flowers, and fleshy scarlet berries. The essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and is known for its very strong, sharp, minty aroma.

Wintergreen essential oil is highly aromatic and is most commonly used in fragrance, home products, and diffuser blends, where only small amounts are required.

Common Uses

Aromatherapy and diffusion
Wintergreen’s crisp, mint-like scent is often used in diffuser blends to create a fresh, invigorating atmosphere. Due to its intensity, it is typically used sparingly and balanced with softer oils.

Scented products
Wintergreen is sometimes used in perfumes, balms, and fragranced products to contribute a sharp, minty note. It is generally used at low percentages and blended carefully with complementary oils.

Candles and home fragrance
When used in candles or diffusers, wintergreen can help create a clean, refreshing scent profile, particularly in winter or seasonal blends.

Cleaning and air-freshening products

Our essential oils come in amber glass bottles with dripulator caps:

  • 5ml and 20ml amber glass bottle, with 18 neck dripulator cap, either white or black cap.
  • 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, 250ml amber glass bottle, with 28 neck white dripulator cap (except for oils that are too thick for a dripulator, which have a black open pour cap).
  • Our bulk volumes of essential oils come in the following packaging
  • 500g and 1kg options come in an aluminium bottle.
  • 5L: PET white plastic jerrycan.
