Common uses: Citronella is most well known as an insecticide but it is also credited with having therapeutic properties as an antiseptic, parasitic, tonic, and as a stimulant. Many insecticides contain citronella and it is often combined with cedarwood to produce a more-pleasant-smelling repellent. This oil can help with minor infections, to assist in combating colds and flu, for excessive perspiration, and for conditioning oily skin and hair.
