Common uses

Aromatherapy: Nutmeg essential oil has a warm and spicy aroma that is said to create a cozy and comforting atmosphere. It is often used in aromatherapy to help uplift mood, promote relaxation, and reduce stress and anxiety.

Perfumery: The rich and aromatic scent of nutmeg essential oil makes it a popular ingredient in perfumery and fragrance industries. It can be used to add depth and complexity to perfumes, colognes, and other scented products.

Cleaning agent: Nutmeg essential oil's potential antimicrobial properties make it a great ingredient for natural cleaning products. It can be added to homemade cleaners to help disinfect surfaces and add a pleasant fragrance.

Home care: Nutmeg essential oil can be used to create DIY air fresheners, potpourri, and scented candles, adding a warm and inviting aroma to your living spaces.

Insect repellent: Some believe that the scent of nutmeg essential oil may act as a natural insect repellent. While there's limited scientific evidence to support this claim, its aroma might help deter certain insects.

Massage and bathing: When diluted properly in a carrier oil, nutmeg essential oil can be used for massages or added to bathwater to create a relaxing and aromatic experience.

Safety data: Very potent and not to be used on sensitive skin. Avoid use during pregnancy.
