Helichrysum italicum essential oil has gained global fame since the late 90’s for its profound healing effect on ageing, wrinkled, and wounded skin. It is said to diminish the appearance of scars, renew skin, prevent stretch marks, treat dermatitis, psoriasis, acne and eczema.
Helichrysum italicum is prized for its powerful effects in skin care thanks to its ability to support cell regeneration and tissue healing. It is considered among the best for beautifying and soothing skin and also for healing cuts, bruises, scrapes, rashes, minor burns while stimulating skin cell regeneration and helping prevent infection.
Helichrysum italicum is also said to help with muscle and joint pain. By simply massaging a few drops of the oil topically to reduce inflammation and relieve aches and pains, sprains, arthritis, and rheumatism.
Of the many species of Helichrysum, italicum is often favored by essential oil connoisseurs and sometimes is better known to many of its ardent followers, 'Everlasting' or 'Immortelle'.
Helichrysum oils are a fairly expensive oil to produce (and thus purchase). Luckily, while Helichrysum italicum may have a rather high price tag, the oil is highly efficient in small doses due to its potency, and it is shelf-stable. One small bottle of this precious essential oil will go far.
Our Helichrysum italicum essential oil is from Čapljina, Herzegovina. With its location in the south of Herzegovina and proximity of the Adriatic Sea, it has an extraordinary geographical position for production of quality oil. The Herzegovina variety is very special and has the highest levels of potentially anti-inflammatory curcumenes, with a sweet aroma very similar to the Corsican.
Using a fully-automated vacuum distillation for extraction, the plant material is distilled using a lower temperature hence achieving a higher quality of essential oil.
