This rose de mai essential oil is obtained from a cabbage rose and has a beautiful sweet floral scent.
Rose de mai is very effective as a skincare oil. It can help to keep the skin smooth and shiny. It moisturises dry and chapped skin and its anti-oxidant properties are said to be good for mature skin and wrinkles.
Used in aromatherapy its antidepressant properties can help to lighten stress, anxiety and depression as well as nervous tension. It is also said to have aphrodisiac properties as well as being good for headaches and migraines.
The oil blends well with sage, geranium, chamomile (German and Roman), bergamot, rosewood and ylang ylang.
