Hazelnut oil has a pleasant and mildly rich nutty flavour.
This oil is a lovely golden colour and has a smooth creamy texture.
Hazelnut oil also has very fast absorbing properties, making it ideal for skincare products to help tone, tighten, and maintain skin elasticity, and is particularly favourable for oily to combination skin. It leaves a luxurious feel to the skin.
Recent studies have shown that hazelnut oil has phospholipids which give greater and longer-lasting moisturising potential to cosmetic emulsions.
It also contains natural Vitamin E, B and some minerals. Vitamin E protects the cells from attacks by free radicals by neutralising them. Vitamin E also helps in the reduction of scaring from wounds and on the appearance of stretch marks on the skin.
The elevated concentration of antioxidants in the oil provides a high stability to rancidity, allowing it to have an excellent shelf life.
1. Heat Water Phase until 65°C.
2. Heat Oil Phase until melted, then cool to 65°C.
3. Combine the two phases and blend intermittently with a stick blender until thick.
4. Add Last Phase and blend in.
5. Spoon into pots.
