Gentle Gel Cleanser

This lovely gentle cleanser is enriched with botanical extracts and is very simple to make. Gel cleansers are good for most skin types including; oily skin, sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, and combination skin. They can help to eliminate oils and excess dirt on the surface of the skin and unclog pores which helps to prevent acne causing bacteria.

Phase A

• 83% | 83g distilled water

Phase B

• 5% | 5g Choose Your Glycerite Extract: Watermelon Glycerite Extract - Cucumber
• Glycerite Extract - Yucca Glycerite Extract - Rosehip Glycerite Extract
• 5% | 5g Glycerin, certified organic
• 1% | 1g Carrageenan gum powder

Phase C

• 5% | 5g Coco glucoside

Phase D

• 1% | 1g Geogard ECT
  
  

Method

1. Make sure all your equipment is clean and disinfected
2. Weigh the phase A into a beaker
3. In a separate beaker weigh the Phase B ingredients
4. Stir until the carrageenan gum is well dispersed. This can be stirred by hand though much easier and more effective with an electric beater with just one prong connected.
5. Slowly add Phase B to Phase A whilst stirring. It will gradually thicken up while you stir.
6. Once Phase B is well dispersed in Phase A you can add Phase C
7. Stir in slowly to avoid the cocoglucoside foaming
8. Check/adjust pH to 5 - 5.5 See our pH testing - why & how we do it blog post for more info.
9. Once your pH is accurate add Phase D and re-check the pH.
10. You can store this in Glass Pots or make your own refillable Pump Action Bottle, using a  250ml Amber glass bottle & Lotion pump.  

Note

We highly reccomend a pump action bottle. It is really handy for ease of use, and helps lower the risk of water droplets getting into your oil during use.

To Use

Apply to a damp face and work into a slight lather. Rinse off continue your usual skincare routine.
