Liquid castile soap
Handmade in NZ
This New Zealand–made liquid Castile soap is a gentle, versatile soap base traditionally made using vegetable oils. Crafted from olive oil and coconut oil and saponified with potassium hydroxide, it produces a mild, effective liquid soap suitable for a wide range of DIY applications.
Castile soap has been used for centuries as a simple, no-frills cleanser. Its straightforward formulation makes it a popular choice for those looking to customise their own body washes, hand soaps, or household cleaning products.
About This Soap Base
This liquid Castile soap is non-toxic and free from synthetic fragrances and colourants. It is often chosen by formulators working with sensitive or easily reactive skin, or anyone wanting a minimalist soap base they can tailor themselves.
As a natural soap base, it will respond differently depending on what you add to it. Essential oils, fragrance oils, or other additives may cause changes in viscosity or appearance. Some essential oils will noticeably thicken the soap, while others may have very little effect. Natural colour variation can also occur.
How to Use
Liquid Castile soap can be used as-is or customised with essential oils or other suitable additives.
