Yellow clay

Origin: France
Type: Illite
ECOCERT approved
COSMOS approved
GMP compliant

Clay has been used for thousands of years to treat injuries, soothe pains, heal wounds,
strengthen the body’s defences, disinfect, cleanse and beautify.

Clays work wonders to cure everyday illnesses, to stimulate, reinvigorate and rejuvenate cells and tissues, making them an ideal ingredient for skin care and natural beauty products.

Clay absorbs undesirable particles, like germs, bacteria and gas; immobilises impurities or toxic substances in the body and eliminates them; and acts as a powerful antiseptic and disinfecting agent.
Clay can also destroy pathogenic germs effectively and efficiently, without endangering tissues.

Uses of clay
Clay can be used in its raw state for many purposes.
Some uses include:
Mouth washes
Body washes
Mud baths
Skincare creams
Face masks

Refreshing clay mask

1 tbsp yellow clay
lavender hydrosol
2 drops lavender essential oil

With a fork, whisk the clay with enough hydrosol to form a smooth paste. Add the essential oil.
Spread the paste with your fingers over your face and neck. Leave to nearly dry. Ideally, you should lie down. Rinse off.

For best results with clays:
Steam clean the face to open pores. Mix clay with water and apply.
Spritz the mask with water or toner once it has been applied to keep the mask active. Don’t let the mask dry out fully.

The clay can be mixed with oil for an oil mask.
