Magnesium chloride
Magnesium chloride flakes are naturally harvested from an inland lake on the Tibetan Plateau, a region known for its ancient, mineral-rich deposits. They are commonly used for external applications such as bath soaks, foot soaks, and DIY skincare or wellness formulations.
The flakes are harvested and dried using natural solar energy. The supplier works directly with local harvesters, with care taken to respect the surrounding ecosystem and the balance of the lake environment.
How to use magnesium chloride
Bath soaks
Add 2–3 cups of magnesium chloride flakes to a warm bath and soak for at least 20 minutes.
Foot soaks
Add ½ cup of flakes to a foot spa or tub of warm water.
DIY & formulations
Suitable for use in salt scrubs, blended with essential oils, or incorporated into other external-use recipes.
Make your own magnesium oil
Magnesium oil is a simple way to use magnesium chloride topically.
Ingredients:
½ cup magnesium chloride flakes
½ cup distilled water
Method:
Gently heat the distilled water until warm but not boiling.
Add the magnesium chloride flakes and stir until fully dissolved.
Allow to cool, then transfer to a spray bottle.
Apply to the skin, avoiding sensitive areas. A mild tingling sensation may occur and can be reduced by diluting with additional water if needed.
