Distilled from the resin of Boswellia carterii, certified organic frankincense essential oil has a long and well-documented history of traditional use. For thousands of years, the aromatic resin has been burned as ceremonial incense and used as a fixative and fragrance component in soaps, cosmetics, and perfumery, particularly in oriental, spicy, and traditionally masculine scent profiles. The warm, resinous smoke has historically been associated with purification rituals and the creation of calm, contemplative spaces.

Common Uses

Aromatherapy
