In India, the seeds are chewed to sweeten the breath and it has been used as an ingredient in toothpastes and mouthwashes.

Aromatherapy: Aniseed essential oil's sweet and soothing aroma can be used in aromatherapy to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The scent can help alleviate stress and anxiety, promoting a sense of tranquility.

Safety data: Very potent and not to be used on sensitive skin. Avoid use during pregnancy.
