Common uses
Insect repellent:
Catnip essential oil contains compounds like nepetalactone that have been found to repel insects such as mosquitoes, flies, and cockroaches.

Aromatherapy: The aroma of catnip essential oil is often described as minty and herbal. Inhaling the aroma of catnip oil through diffusers or aromatherapy practices might have a calming and relaxing effect on some people.

Home fragrance: The pleasant aroma of catnip essential oil can be used to create potpourri blends or homemade air fresheners to add a refreshing scent to indoor spaces.

Cat entertainment: While not a human benefit, it's worth mentioning that catnip essential oil or dried catnip leaves can be used to create toys and environments that stimulate and entertain cats. This can provide enjoyment for both the cats and their human owners.

Safety data: Avoid use during pregnancy.
