Green clay

Origin: France
Type: Montmorillonite
ECOCERT approved
COSMOS approved
GMP compliant

Green clay is the most versatile clay as it's good for all skin types.
Clay has been used for thousands of years to treat injuries, soothe pains, heal wounds, strengthen the body’s defences, disinfect, cleanse and beautify.

Clays work wonders to cure everyday illnesses, to stimulate, reinvigorate and rejuvenate cells and tissues, making them an ideal ingredient for skin care and natural beauty products.

Clay absorbs undesirable particles, like germs and bacteria; immobilises impurities or toxic substances in the body and eliminates them; and acts as a powerful antiseptic and disinfecting agent.
Clay can also destroy pathogenic germs effectively and efficiently, without endangering tissues.

Uses of clay
Clay can be used in its raw state for many purposes.
Some uses include:
Mouth washes
Body washes
Mud baths
Skincare creams
Face masks

Purifying clay mask for blemished and oily skin

1 tbsp green clay
aloe juice, water or oil
2 drops German chamomile or helichrysum essential oil

In a small bowl, use a fork to combine the clay with enough aloe juice/water to form a smooth paste.
Using your fingers, spread the paste on to your face and neck and allow to nearly dry. (Try to lie down.) Rinse off.

For best results with clays:
  1. Steam clean the face to open pores. Mix clay with water and apply.
  2. Spritz the mask with water or toner once it has been applied to keep the mask active. Don’t let the mask dry out fully.
