Polysorbate 80
Used as a solubiliser to emulsify oils into water.
With polysorbate 80 you can make carrier oils water dispersible. Good for use in bath oils to ensure the oil disperses into the bath (which can be a slipping hazard). This is also important for essential oils to ensure they are well dispersed in the bath water rather than pooling on top.
Polysorbate 80 makes a good addition to cleansing oils and balms as it aids in the cleansing process and makes a huge difference to the wash-off of the product. Recommended at around 10%.
Great for use in massage oils to aid in the rinse-off of oily sheets and towels.

To use: Include in oil phase (can be hot or cold processed).
If using in an oil based formula, such as a cleansing or massage oil, simply stir to combine.
If using to disperse oil in water, you will need to use polysorbate 80 at approximately 2 - 3 times the amount of oil you are you are trying to solubilise. This can vary depending on the oil/s being used so you will need to do some testing.
