Vegan food wraps

Ingredients
cotton fabric
30g jojoba oil
15g pine resin
7g organic carnauba wax
baking paper
paint brush

Method

1. Wash and dry the fabric. Cut into the sizes you want.
2. Melt the pine resin in a double boiler over medium heat. This will take an hour. It won’t be a smooth liquid, but a thick mass.
3. Preheat oven to 150°C.
4. Add the beeswax (or carnauba wax) and jojoba oil to the resin and heat until blended. (About 15 minutes.)
5. On a baking tray, lie a cloth on a sheet of baking paper. Brush the mixture on to the cloth.
6. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush to evenly saturate the cloth with the mixture. Work quickly before the mixture solidifies.
7. Turn the cloth over and put back in the oven for 3 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and brush to evenly saturate the cloth.
9. Hang to cool.
