Organic amla oil, also known as Indian gooseberry oil, is commonly used in Ayurveda. It is high in vitamin C with strong antioxidant properties.
This virgin oil has not gone through a refining process and therefore has a characteristic aroma and flavour. Organic amla oil is a new ingredient gaining popularity in the development of hair care products as it helps to nourish hair and moisturise the scalp. It is commonly used as an ingredient in cosmetic formulations such as anti-ageing products to help fight free radical damage to the skin.

Amla oil can help with dandruff, dry skin, hair loss, dehydration, a poor immune system, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, oxidative stress, premature ageing, wrinkles, age spots, blemishes, scars, flu, cough, cold, congestion and inflammation.

Its most popular use is on the hair, as it can moisturise and strengthen your hair, prevent infections on the scalp, and add to the shine of your hair when regularly applied as a hair mask or scalp massage.
