Brown iron oxide is a naturally occurring mineral pigment made from iron and oxygen compounds. It is considered safe, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and suitable for use on sensitive skin.
Iron oxides are affordable, long-lasting pigments available in a range of rich earthy colours, including red, yellow, brown, and black. They are commonly used in both mineral makeup and conventional cosmetic products.
These pigments are resistant to moisture, do not easily smear or bleed, and have excellent staying power. Their strong colouring ability makes them ideal for a wide range of applications, such as foundations, eyeshadows, blushes, and lipsticks. They are also used to colour cold-process soaps and creams.
