Brown Iron Oxide
Brown iron oxide is a cosmetic-grade, nature identical pigment created to deliver consistent, earthy brown tones. It is particularly valued for its ability to produce natural, skin-like shades when blended with red, yellow, and black iron oxides, making it a staple in foundation and bronzer formulations.
It offers excellent coverage, stability, and tinting strength, and is resistant to bleeding or smearing. In cold process soap, it produces rich brown shades that remain stable throughout curing.
Because it is synthetically produced rather than mined, this pigment avoids concerns about natural impurities while still delivering the same composition as naturally occurring iron oxides.
