Roasted coffee bean oil is a rich, aromatic oil with a distinctive dark brown colour and medium viscosity. It is cold pressed from roasted Coffea arabica beans and retains a strong, characteristic coffee aroma, making it both a functional carrier oil and a natural aromatic ingredient.

About Coffee Bean Oil

Although technically a carrier oil, roasted coffee bean oil behaves more like a hybrid between a fixed oil and an aromatic extract. It contains a complex blend of triglycerides and free fatty acids, predominantly linoleic and palmitic acids, alongside flavonoids and other natural compounds.

While it’s derived from caffeine-rich coffee beans, the oil itself contains only trace amounts of caffeine, as caffeine is water-soluble and does not transfer significantly into the oil during pressing.

The warm, roasted aroma makes it popular as a base note in natural perfumery, and it is increasingly used in cosmetic and spa formulations for its sensory appeal and skin-conditioning properties.

How to Use

Roasted coffee bean oil is commonly included in:

Body butters and scrubs
Overnight creams and serums
Under-eye treatments and lotions
Aromatherapy blends and massage oils

It is particularly suited to mature or dry skin and can help support a radiant, refreshed appearance.

Because of its strong aroma and deep colour, it’s usually used at up to 20% in blends, though it is safe for use up to 100%.
