Emulsifier NF (NEOWAX B200)
Formerly sold as Polawax GP-200. NEOWAX B200 is a direct replacement for our previous Emulsifier NF, with the same INCI: Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-20 Stearate.
Emulsifier NF is a reliable, non-ionic self-emulsifying wax used to create stable oil-in-water emulsions.
Suitable for a wide range of cosmetic formulations, it can be used in creams, lotions and other skin and hair care products, helping to bring the oil and water phases together while contributing body, texture and consistency to the finished product.
Emulsifier NF is highly stable in both acidic and basic systems and can be used as the primary emulsifier in a formulation.
While it isn't the most natural emulsifier available, it is extremely versatile, easy to work with and has long been a popular choice for both home formulators and professional cosmetic manufacturers.
Usage
Usage Rate: 2–25% (typically 4–8%)
For most creams and lotions, 4–8% of the total formulation is a useful starting point. The amount required will depend on the size and composition of the oil phase, as well as the desired viscosity and texture of the finished product.
