What You’ll Need at Home

• Saucepan with at least 3L capacity
• Fine sieve or strainer (for the herbal infusion)

About the Ingredients

Some of the ingredients included may be unfamiliar, so here is a brief overview of what they do in the formula.

Decyl Glucoside
A mild, plant-derived surfactant well known for its gentle cleansing properties. Suitable for everyday shampoos and commonly used in sensitive-skin formulations.

Lauryl Glucoside
A sugar-based surfactant that helps boost cleansing and foam while remaining gentle on the hair and scalp. It adds body and viscosity to liquid shampoo formulas.

Coco Glucoside & Glyceryl Oleate
A conditioning surfactant blend that helps improve the overall feel of the shampoo, supporting softness and manageability without heaviness.

Calendula flowers, dried
Used to create a simple herbal infusion. Calendula is traditionally included for its gentle, soothing qualities and compatibility with sensitive formulations.

Microcare DB
An Ecocert-approved broad-spectrum preservative suitable for water-based products.

Essential Oil
Adds fragrance to the finished shampoo. Choose according to preference and intended use.
