Kokum butter
Kokum butter is a naturally derived butter that has been refined to a clean white colour. It has a firm, brittle texture, harder than shea butter but softer than cocoa butter, and typically appears dry and crumbly in its raw form.
On application, it melts into the skin quickly without leaving a heavy or greasy residue, making it a popular choice for lightweight formulations.
Kokum butter is commonly used in skincare for its emollient properties, helping to support skin hydration and maintain softness and flexibility. It is often included in formulations designed for dry or stressed skin, as well as products for areas prone to cracking such as lips, hands, and heels.
It is also valued for its fast absorption and non-comedogenic profile, meaning it is unlikely to clog pores, making it suitable for a wide range of skin types.

Kokum butter is packed in ziplock bags. We encourage you to transfer the butter to clean, dry, airtight containers upon receiving your butter and store in a cool dry location out of direct sunlight for the best shelf life for your butter.
