Lemon Myrtle Hydrosol, NZ, Spray Free
Preservative free.
Lemon myrtle hydrosol is the aromatic water produced through the steam distillation of lemon myrtle leaves and twigs. Grown and distilled here in Aotearoa New Zealand, this fresh, spray-free hydrosol carries a bright citrus scent with soft herbal undertones.
With its naturally uplifting aroma, lemon myrtle hydrosol makes a refreshing facial mist or toner—particularly for oily skin. It can also be used in body sprays, scalp mists, or added to DIY formulations in place of water. In aromatherapy, its clean, energising scent is often used in room or linen sprays to help refresh and revitalise.
A versatile ingredient, lemon myrtle hydrosol is a lovely addition to your natural skincare and formulation toolkit.
About hydrosols
Hydrosols are the pure co-product of the steam distillation of plants. When plant material is distilled to extract essential oils, some water-soluble compounds—those not present in the essential oil—are captured in the remaining water.
These gentle, aromatic waters contain micro-drops of essential oil and water-soluble botanical compounds, making them ideal for use in skincare. Hydrosols are often used in place of water in formulations, or on their own as facial mists, toners, or linen sprays.
