Ditch the plastic shampoo bottle with our concentrated solid Shampoo Bars, made right here in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Formulated with gentle cleansing ingredients and hair-conditioning goodies, these bars create a rich, creamy lather to cleanse the hair and scalp while leaving hair feeling soft, smooth and manageable. SCI and decyl glucoside provide effective yet gentle cleansing, while BTMS-25, organic cocoa butter, hydrolysed quinoa and coco caprylate help condition the hair and provide softness and slip.

Compact, concentrated and easy to use, shampoo bars are a brilliant choice for a lower-waste bathroom. With no plastic bottle to dispose of, they’re a simple way to reduce everyday packaging without giving up a good shampoo.

They’re also particularly handy for travel. A solid bar takes up very little space in your toiletry bag, won’t leak through your luggage and doesn’t count towards your liquid allowance when flying. They’re equally useful for the gym, camping, weekends away or anywhere you’d rather not carry another bottle.

Handmade in Small Batches

Our Shampoo Bars are handmade and poured in small batches here in New Zealand. Because they’re made by hand rather than mass-produced, each bar may look a little different. You might notice slight variations in shape, finish or appearance, and we may use different moulds from batch to batch.

We think that’s part of their charm. They’re not designed to be perfectly uniform, just really good shampoo bars.

Key ingredients

SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate)
A mild surfactant that produces a rich, creamy lather and is particularly well suited to solid shampoo bars.

Decyl Glucoside
A mild, plant-derived cleansing ingredient made from renewable raw materials. It works alongside SCI to cleanse the hair and scalp.

BTMS-25
A conditioning ingredient that provides slip and helps leave hair feeling softer and easier to manage.

Organic Cocoa Butter
Adds conditioning emollience to the formula and contributes to the bar's rich, conditioning feel.

Hydrolysed Quinoa
A hydrolysed plant protein used in haircare formulations to help condition the hair and improve its feel and manageability.

Coco Caprylate
A lightweight, plant-derived emollient that provides softness and slip without a heavy or greasy feel.

How to use

Wet your hair and the shampoo bar thoroughly. Either glide the bar directly over wet hair a few times or rub it between wet hands to create a lather.

Massage the lather through the hair and scalp, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if required and follow with conditioner if desired.

Make your bar last longer

Shampoo bars last best when they're allowed to dry thoroughly between uses. Store your bar somewhere well drained and away from standing water rather than leaving it sitting in a wet soap dish or on the shower floor.

If travelling, allow the bar to dry before packing it away whenever possible.

Simple, low-waste packaging

We’ve kept the packaging for our Shampoo Bars deliberately simple. Your bar comes in a ziplock bag, with no fancy box or unnecessary outer packaging.

It’s a no-frills approach that keeps packaging to a minimum and lets us focus on what’s actually inside: a great little shampoo bar.
