Silver Satin Mica
Silver Satin mica is a fine-particle pigment that produces a soft, pearlescent silver sheen. With its smooth satin finish, it adds elegance and subtle luminosity to cosmetics such as eyeshadows, highlighters, and lip products, as well as a refined shimmer in soaps and body care.
Mica is a fine mineral powder that reflects light to create a pearlescent effect on the skin. Silver Satin mica is produced by coating natural mica flakes with metal oxides such as titanium dioxide. The smaller particle size creates a silky satin glow rather than the bold sparkle of larger-particle micas.
In clear M&P soap, Silver Satin mica gives a beautiful satin effect with depth and shimmer. In opaque soaps, the effect is much more muted, though it can still produce a delicate satin highlight when swirled or brushed on the surface. For a stronger effect in white soaps, Silver Sparkle mica is often preferred.
