Wheatgerm oil

Virgin wheatgerm oil is a rich, nourishing carrier oil extracted from the germ of the wheat kernel. Naturally high in essential fatty acids, it is commonly used in skincare and body care formulations where a more protective, conditioning oil is desired.

With its deeper colour and heavier skin feel, wheatgerm oil is particularly well suited to formulas designed for dry, mature, or environmentally stressed skin. It is most often used as part of a blend, adding depth and nourishment when combined with lighter carrier oils.

How to Use

Wheatgerm oil can be used in facial oils, body oils, balms, creams, and massage blends. Due to its naturally thicker texture, it is commonly blended with lighter oils such as sunflower, almond, grapeseed or jojoba to improve slip and overall skin feel.

Typical usage ranges from low to moderate percentages in blends, though it may be used up to 100% if desired.
