Yellow Mica
Yellow mica is a cheerful, buttercup-toned pigment that gives cosmetics and soaps a luminous, shimmery finish. Its bright, sunny hue makes it ideal for eyeshadows, highlighters, lip products, and decorative swirls in soapmaking where a vibrant pearlescent yellow is desired.
Mica is a fine mineral powder that reflects light to create a pearlescent effect on the skin. It is produced by coating natural mica flakes with metal oxides such as titanium dioxide, iron oxide, or zirconium dioxide. The thickness of these oxide layers determines the final shade and level of shimmer.
The effect also varies with particle size: finer particles create a soft satin finish, while larger ones add sparkle and glitter. In clear M&P soap, Yellow mica produces its most dazzling golden tones, while in opaque soaps the shimmer is softer but still creates beautiful highlights when swirled through or brushed on the surface.
