Natural Coloured Soaps

Natural Coloured Soap
Create your own naturally coloured soaps using vibrant natural ingredients like paprika, spirulina, and green clay.
Each soap offers unique benefits:
- Paprika soap provides a warm, earthy hue.
- Spirulina soap is packed with nutrients.
- Green clay soap gently detoxifies the skin.
Paprika Soap
For this loaf, I used 2 tablespoons of paprika, stirred into the grapeseed oil portion of the recipe. I left it to infuse for two days, stirring occasionally. (This is simply called paprika-infused oil — nothing fancy!)
When I was ready to make the soap, I poured the oil off the paprika grains as I didn’t want the texture in the final bar. You can leave them in if you prefer — it’s entirely your choice.
I chose grapeseed oil because it’s very clear. I didn’t want the red of the paprika competing with the green tone of olive oil or the yellow tone of rapeseed oil.
Spirulina Soap
This bar was coloured with 2 tablespoons spirulina powder.
It was infused in grapeseed oil using the same method described above. Just before pouring, I added 20g poppy seeds for gentle exfoliation and visual texture.
Green Clay Soap
This bar was made with 2 tablespoons green clay. The clay was not infused. Instead, it was stirred directly into the soap mixture just before trace.
Naturally Yellow Soap (No Added Colour)
This bar was made using rapeseed oil to demonstrate how you can achieve a beautiful natural yellow tone without adding any colourants at all.
