Hypericum (Hypericum perforatum), commonly known as St John’s Wort, is a perennial plant with oil-rich leaves and golden-yellow, five-petalled flowers. It has a long history of traditional use in topical preparations, especially as a herbal infusion.

Our red Hypericum infused oil is made using fresh, spray-free hypericum flowers and buds, carefully infused to create a naturally pink-red oil. The base is certified organic sunflower oil, chosen for its lightweight texture and skin-conditioning properties, blended with certified organic castor oil to enhance absorption and improve the delivery of beneficial compounds into the skin.

This strikingly coloured oil can be used on its own as a facial oil or blended into formulations such as massage oils, balms, creams, and body oils. It is said to support the skin’s natural barrier, hydration, and overall conditioning, making it a popular choice in herbal-infused skincare.

We have another Hypericum infused in olive oil available which is made with dried herb, making it golden yellow in colour.
