Natural Solubiliser
Palm Free
A non-ionic surfactant made from coconut fatty alcohols and corn-derived glucose, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is a naturally derived, mild solubiliser ideal for water-based formulations. It’s PEG-free, sulfate-free, and suitable for sensitive skin, making it a popular alternative to polysorbates. This ingredient disperses essential oils, fragrances, and oil-soluble actives into water while boosting foam and enhancing cleansing performance. It’s widely used in micellar waters, facial cleansers, toners, and body or room sprays.
How to use
To solubilise essential oils and fragrances, start with a 5:1 ratio of solubiliser to oil and adjust as needed—some oils may require up to 10:1.
In cleansing formulas, use up to 15%. Always mix the solubiliser with the oil phase first before incorporating it into water.
