Calendula Cream Formula

Ingredients

Phase A

71% | 71g water
4% | 4g glycerin

Phase B

4% | 4g cetearyl alcohol
4% | 4g emulsifier O
2% | 2g apricot kernel oil
2% | 2g avocado oil
8% | 8g aloe vera oil

Phase C

4% | 4g calendula infused oil
1% | 1g preservative (Geogard 221 or Microcare DB)

Method

Heat Phase A to 65°C.
Heat Phase B separately to 65°C.
Pour Phase B into Phase A and blend until thick and creamy.
Allow to cool to below 40°C then add Phase C, stirring to combine.
Allow to cool to below 25°C. Check/adjust the final pH to 5 - 5.5.
Cover and leave overnight, the mixture will reach its full thickness and be ready to package the next day.
Give product a final stir, pour into pot/s and you're done!
