Description: Chamomile is a flowering plant belonging to the daisy family, native to Europe and Asia. Our certified organic German chamomile essential oil is grown in Bulgaria, where the plant thrives. German chamomile grows up to 1 metre tall and features finely divided, feathery leaves with vibrant, yellow tubular flowers surrounded by delicate white petals. This essential oil is distinguished by its striking deep-blue colour, resulting from chamazulene, a compound produced during steam distillation. The high concentration of chamazulene gives the oil its distinctive rich blue hue, setting it apart from green chamomile products.
