A conditioning agent for hair and cationic (positively charged) emulsifier for skincare, Conditioner pellets - palm free (CPPF) are 80% pure active ingredient (Behentrimonium methosulfate aka BTMS).

In hair care applications, CPPF leaves hair soft and tangle free and can also be used in skincare products. These emulsions provide a soft powdery feel on the skin and are an ideal choice for leave-in conditioners and leave-on skincare formulations.

Recipe: Solid conditioner bars 
Makes 6 bars, each 70g, 5.5cm x 2.5cm.

Method:

Melt Step 1 in a double boiler. This can take a little while so just be patient.

Once mixture is completely melted take off the heat and mix in Step 2.

Pour into moulds and carefully carry to the refrigerator to set. 

To use, simply smooth along wet hair after shampooing and then rinse out.

Leave to air dry before the next use. 		 Recipe: Natural conditioner - palm free
Makes approx 250g

Step 1:
 
  • 194g water
  • 6g conditioner pellets - palm free

Step 2:
 
Method:

Gently heat Step 1 ingredients in a pot until the pellets have melted.

Take off the heat and blend off and on until cool and starting to thicken.

Add Step 2 ingredients and continue blending until thick.

Pour into containers.
