Mineral Foundation Kit

Create your own mineral foundation, custom blended to suit your skin tone.

Inspired by Marie Rayma's Make It Up, we've put together everything you need to make the mineral foundation from her book, with generous quantities of each ingredient so you can experiment with colour and adjust your blend until you find your perfect match.

Go lighter, deeper, warmer or cooler. You're in control of the finished shade, and there's plenty of each ingredient included so you don't need to worry about getting it perfect the first time.

Your finished foundation can be used as a loose mineral powder, or you can use the included certified organic argan oil to create a liquid foundation if you prefer.

Choose your kit

The kit is available with or without Marie Rayma's Make It Up book and mini measuring spoons.

The foundation recipe is found in Make It Up, along with recipes for a huge range of other DIY makeup and skincare. If you already own the book or mini measuring spoons, simply choose the kit without them.

What else will I need?

You'll need an electric coffee grinder to thoroughly blend the mineral ingredients and pigments. A grinder with a flat lid works particularly well, as you can place a piece of baking paper between the grinder and lid to help contain the fine powders while blending.

• 30g Titanium dioxide
• 30g Zinc oxide
• 10g Sericite mica
• 5g Magnesium stearate
• 1g Boron nitride
• 6g Yellow iron oxide
• 6g Brown iron oxide
• 6g Red iron oxide
• 20ml Jojoba oil, certified organic
• 5ml Vitamin E
• 30ml Argan oil, certified organic

Want a creamier finish?

Once you've created your mineral foundation shade, you can also use it as the base for our separate Cream Foundation recipe.

It's a more involved recipe than the quick argan oil liquid-foundation option, but creates a creamier, buildable foundation that gives you more freedom to adjust your coverage. Use a small amount for everyday wear to help even out the appearance of skin tone, or layer it for greater coverage.
