Cream Deodorant

This cream deodorant contains magnesium hydroxide because it helps create an environment that is less favourable for odour-causing bacteria. The skin’s surface is naturally slightly acidic, while magnesium hydroxide is alkaline. When applied topically, it gently shifts the underarm environment, helping to discourage the bacterial activity responsible for body odour.

Perspiration itself is odourless. Odour develops when naturally occurring bacteria break down components of sweat. Rather than blocking sweat glands like antiperspirants, magnesium-based deodorants work by supporting a balanced underarm environment. Combined with antibacterial essential oils, this approach helps minimise odour while allowing the skin’s natural processes to continue.

Ingredients

Phase A

• 15% |15g Kokum butter
• 2.5% | 2.5g Organic Shea butter, wildcrafted

Phase B

• 14% | 14g Coco caprylate
• 10% | 10g Apricot kernel oil, certified organic

Phase C

• 28g | 28% Arrowroot powder
• 24g |24% Magnesium hydroxide
• 6g | 6% White kaolin clay
• 0.5g | 0.5% For antibacterial properties Tea tree essential oil - Kanuka essential oil or Lavender Essential Oil are recommended.

Method

1. Melt Phase A ingredients in a pot on the stove.
2. Once melted, take off the heat and add Phase B ingredients.
3. Incorporate Phase C ingredients with a stick blender, shaking the powders in slowly until completely mixed.
4. Pour into Container. You could use a 100ml glass Pot or two 50ml glass pots 

To Use

Use your finger to scoop out a little, and apply to underarms.
